Kerry Washington bares her baby bump during the 2014 SAG Awards.
During last nights Sag Awards, Kerry Washington made her way down the red carpet exposing her baby bump in a custom Prada crop top and long black pleated skirt. Her reason for the crop top: She loved the idea and she doesn’t have anything to hide.
I think her ensemble was a fun way to show off her pregnancy.
What do you think of her red carpet look?
During G-Shock’s Shock the World 2013 event, actor and singer Adrienne Bailon was spotted on the red carpet rocking leopard print pants, a white corset top and a white blazer with a pair of Zara sandals. Needless to say I love this look!

One Style Rocked Two Different Ways…
A few months ago while I was in Mother Fletchers, a vintage shop in Frendale. I came across a pair of red high waisted Levi pants from the 70s. I tried them on and I couldn’t resist, I mean the price was right and the style was just what I’ve been looking for.
I was always hesitant to wear wide leg pants, because i’m only five feet and I would ALWAYS have to pair them with heels. I figured since my legs are so short, the pants just wouldn’t look right. But while I was in the store I tried them on and I had to stand on my tippy toes, but the pants ROCKED and I wanted them.
A few days ago (rapper) Diamond posted this picture on instagram of herself wearing a pair of red wide leg pants, denim button up and a pair of nude pumps. I love this look, it just gave me life!
A few hours ago, Stylist Ty Hunter posted a picture on instagram wearing a denim button up along with a pair of red pants and some leopard print oxfords.
I love how some people can wear the same style, but make it your own look.

Things My Dad Taught Me About Fashion…
“All shoes are created equal, all you need is pair of black and brown shoes.”
“No dad, I can’t possibly have only two pairs of shoes. I need a variety of colors, styles and heights.”
When my dad sees me wearing high heels, he used to tell me they weren’t good for my back. “But dad they’re cute!”
“It doesn’t matter, they’ll mess up your back and they’re not good for your feet.”
“But dad, they’re cute!”
Back when I was still in highschool I remember asking my dad for clothes and telling him what kind of clothes I needed. He used to say:
“If someone doesn’t like what you’re wearing tell them to buy you what they want you to wear.”
When I wanted name brand clothes, he used to ask me why did I want to walk around wearing someone else’s name on me .
“Because dad, I like the clothes.”
Needless to say, I got my designer wear.
One time while I was still in highschool, I told my dad I needed some new clothes, so he gave me $100.00. I’m thinking, what can I possibly get for $100 bucks. I mean guess jeans (the in pants back then, am I telling my age) were the jeans of choice. But I made it work and was able to buy a few tops and pants. But give me $100 bucks now, knowing what I know about fashion, I could at least pull three looks out that $100.00.
Don’t buy anything that’s made in China. I understand the logic behind this and I do shop at American Apparel, but it’s hard as heck to only buy USA made clothing. Some of my cutest shoes were made in China.
I remember telling my dad I wanted a Louis Vuitton bag and he told me he’d take me to Kmart so I can get purse.
“Dad, it’s not the same!”
“It’s better and you can get a few different colors.”
Lol it’s never the same!
When I became obsessed with Thrifting, my dad spent countless days taking me to different stores. I’ve found some of the cutest things when I was with him. (that’s when I found my authentic throwback coach purse) He also gave me a vintage Gucci watch. I was so geeked!
When I younger my dad used to do my hair pressing and oiling my scalp. It was so healthy until I got older and decided to get a perm. BIG MISTAKE!
When I was in college, I told my dad I wanted to be a fashion designer, he bought my first sewing machine. When my dress form broke, I brought it to him and he made it as good as new!
Turns out he was right, don’t dress to fit in, dress for yourself. If someone has a problem with your clothes, their more than welcome to buy you what they think you should wear. Ha! That’ll never happen! So dress the way you want, cause truth is people are going to always have something to say.
My dad may not have Tim Gunns sense of style, but he did teach me to dress for myself, despite what everyone else was wearing!
Happy Father’s Day!
During this year’s 28th Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, Kelly Rowland took the stage. She was wearing a black Maria Lucia Hohan lace dress while inducting the Queen of Disco, Donna Summer into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Jennifer Hudson paid tribute in a sparkly Pamella Roland one shoulder gold jumpsuit while performing some of Summer’s hit songs.
Both Kelly and Jennifer look great. Kelly is really rocking that black lace dress, she sure knows how to turn heads with her sense of style. I’m totally loving Jennifer’s gold jumpsuit with the big hear, it really pulls her look together.
Are you loving these lovely ladies style?
“Shoes can change an attitude and define a generation”
Do you believe in love at first sight? I’m convinced that the saying was coined after some woman first laid eyes on a pair of fierce shoes.
When I first saw these shoes, I knew they would be mine. I love the design and style of this shoe. Unfortunately, I have yet to wear them, because it’s still winter here in Detroit. As soon as the weather breaks, these shoes will be ready to wear.
I don’t know if it was the style or the color of these shoes that drew me to them, but whatever it was I had to have them. Again, I can’t wait until the warm weather arrives so I can strut my stuff in these ankle strap heels.
Both shoes are stylish and yet affordable. I love shoes that are trendy, chic and yet budget friendly. I posted the links at the bottom of the page so you can snag you a pair if your hearts desires.
